MONDAYS @ 4:30PM.
FRIDAYS @ 1PM.
$17-25 sliding scale
Warm up --> across the floor drills for joint conditioning and mobility --> choreography sequence! In this class we explore an array of choreographic styles, finding flow through the introduction of new textures, musicality, and movement qualities. Contemporary dance is a very broad genre of artistry.
*Physical prompts may include getting up and down from the floor, as well as bearing weight on our hands/wrists and knees. Knee pads or wrist braces have been helpful for some students! Almost all movements can be modified to accommodate needs.

TUESDAYS @ 4:30pm
$17-25 sliding scale
This class introduces floor work tricks and sequences along with principles of modern dance. Pants and/or knee pads are helpful! We typically have some extra at the studio. This class involves learning to find "rolling surfaces" between your body and the floor, some of which may result in bruising or calluses. This class is oriented towards learning new shapes and pathways moreso than putting them together, though we try and make flow-sequences as well! Each trick has an elaborate break down through which you will be able to build the necessary strength and coordination over time. We focus heavily on alignment and proper engagement for safety. Each sequence has several "off-ramps" so students can work towards the next level at their own pace. This is an all levels class and very much beginner friendly!

Syllabus provided in advance so you can know what to expect from week to week. Savannah Renauldi is a dance artist, and facilitator who creates inclusive spaces that foster community and connection to self.
